Competition is the second tradition we will highlight. Our teams compete in all levels of tournaments ranging from local one day tournaments to national qualifiers. As we described last week in our TRAVEL edition, each team competes in at least one USAV National Qualifier each season and we have also competed in AAU Super Regionals. These tournaments provide an opportunity to play and compete against teams from other areas of the country.
We routinely participate in regional tournaments and events including Gateway Regionals, Gateway Girls Festival, Gateway League, and AAU regional tournaments. In addition, our teams play several local tournaments each year. These tournaments are exciting, enriching experiences for the players and have resulted in many wins. During the pandemic shortened 2020 season, our teams combined to win or finish second in the Gold Bracket in more than a third of the tournaments that we were able to play prior to the cancellation of the season.
